The Most Recent Real Estate News
As we move into the final months of 2026, the real estate market continues to adjust to changing economic conditions, creating both opportunities and challenges for buyers and sellers.
Nationally, existing-home sales increased 1.5% in September, according to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), while the median home price reached $417,500, a 1.3% increase from a year ago. Although mortgage rates remain elevated, increased housing inventory nationwide is providing buyers with more choices and greater negotiating opportunities.
Here in Florida, the housing market is showing signs of stabilization. According to Florida Realtors®, the median single-family home price reached $415,000 in August, an increase of just over 1% year over year. While sales activity has moderated, declining inventory is helping support property values.
In Central Florida, these changing conditions highlight the importance of understanding local market trends. Buyers may find opportunities with well-priced properties, while sellers can benefit from strategic pricing, effective marketing, and professional guidance.
Whether you're considering buying, selling, or simply curious about your home's value, let's connect to discuss how today's market could influence your real estate goals in Central Florida.
